The characters were the best part of the books over the past few years of researching books I've enjoyed.

Authors are the director of a story—the word smiths if you will. Characters are the reader's imaginations running wild. They are the ones that the reader embraces, holds their breath for, smiles, and swoons over.

The characters seem to be the key when I think of solid books that have won readers' hearts.

It's about the reader and characters for me as a creator when attending in person at events. The lessons of the stories and the fun facts simplified for each age of the reader standing before me are where my heart sores—encouraging the creative and growing the hearts and dreams which all come by our tables.

Folks wonder why I don't use my author name at events but a place/movement (The Shire Repurposed). Where do your hearts and minds go when you read, Wonderland, Kansas, Emerald City, Pixie Hollow, Sesame Street, etc., are all places we've lived for a time or more. The Shire Repurposed is a whimsical place. Where love wins, kindness and courage are encouraged.

There are so many more adventures brewing in my mind. Please join us on these journeys!
